Applause, performed by the Society in 1984, is based on the film All About Eve (Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe). It tells the story of Margo Channing, a mature actress and star who takes a much younger actress, Eve, under her wing. Margo’s unaware that Eve is a schemer, planning to take not only her work but also her man.
